There are 2 important facts, behavior and culture in Japan, to understand this film.

1. Japanese students use transparent red sheets during studying. Using the phenomenon that red sheets vanish letters and contents in red, students memorize English vocabulary and other contents in red because visible contents are harder to memorize for them.

2. In Japan, it’s widely believed that glucose, a family of sugar, works for memory. Nowadays, it is commonly taken while people have to focus on something such as studying. Morinaga’s glucose tablet contains 90% of pure glucose.
