In this script, a narrator highlights the difficulties of the ever-increasing global problem of long distance relationships. The sadness, the lonliness, the physisical symptoms that come from being without their loved one. The narrator goes on to explain how there is now a new ‘invention’ that has been scientifically designed to help with coping with the lonliness that geographically separated couples endure – ‘The Lonely Lover’s Latex Hand Grip – a replica of your lover’s hand to hold during those times when hand-holding is needed, such as scary movies and walks on the beach. Based on DNA replication, the Latex Hand is designed to make the person feel like their lover is walking beside them, filling them with feelings of romantic togetherness. The narrator finishes the script with a slightly more rational solution for lonely couples, just in case the new and slightly unusual invention did not appeal to them.
