OVERVIEW

Description

The purpose of this project was to come up with a system where users could enjoy shopping while using digital media. Even though digital media plays a big role in this system, we designed a friendly system so that users should not feel any stress or pressure. Also, it was important for the service to connote both "creative" and "commercial” elements.

Execution

We planned to place a Japanese cell phone over a panel at the entrance of the mall.

We intended to use the cell phone as an information providing device and also, as an output device for CGM expressions.

We chose a Japanese cell phone, since IC chips are loaded on most of the cell phones in Japan.The visitors will hold their cell phones above the floor map panel located on each floor and the cell phones will be connected to GYRE’s mobile website. Automatically, GYRE’s information will appear on the display. When a button is pushed in the beginning, the mail address will be registered. From the next visit, shopping points will be added each time the cell phone is held over the panel.
