Description
For gamers, the most practical way to eat while playing are snacks. But they’re usually really greasy, so they’re forced to stop the game to clean their hands. Because in Samsung we think about everything in order to improve gaming, we’ve created Samsung Gaming Snacks, the first snacks that don’t leave the devices or the gamer’s hands greasy because they’re not fried. The snacks were passed out at the presentation of the new monitors in the biggest gaming events in Argentina and in the Samsung store.
Execution
In April 2017 we launched the Samsung Gaming Snacks along with the new monitors. The snacks were distributed at the points of sales in order to generate an innovative experience while working together with the brand.
Both launches were communicated through a commercial that was produced specifically for digital channels, and particularly segmented for gamers. Pre rolls in gaming videos were used, as well as Facebook and Twitter videos, and also within websites specializing in gaming. It was reported at a national level in all of Argentina.
Outcome
For the first time in the launch in the monitors’ category, Samsung created a digital campaign that created empathy with this audience and positioned itself as a brand that understood them and offered innovative solutions. This has become the beginning of a great future relationship, with an audience that grows exponentially.
Because we are a campaign that currently maintains itself with guidelines, there aren’t any final sales results, but we do know that during the first days the page traffic grew by 1000% because of monitor related questions.
