Execution

29 pairs (a copywriter and an art director) created 200 different posters for 52 shops with following conditions.

- No planning presentations to ensure freedom for creators

- Just create as they like and bring each finished poster

Those posters were displayed all aver the shopping arcade, then Fuminosato Street Poster Exhibition took place.

To collect visitors, utilized PR. Also, to attract public attentions, provided a PR story “shady creators are standing up to save the shopping street.”

Outcome

- 23% of posters won awards

- Project won 3 awards

- Double visitors

- Exposures in the media

- Improve the motivation of creators and shop owners

- Project expansions among Kagoshima, Chiba’s creators, and students of 3 universities

- Receive requests from 4 local government bodies. These projects are on going with financial support.

- Posters continue to remain, and these are still calling visitors.
