On the 4th of July 2017, the Fiat 500 turned 60. Throughout its lifetime, Fiat’s most famous car has crossed the Italian border and conquered the world, becoming an icon of Italian manufacturing and design. The brief was to create a commercial celebrating not just the 500’s anniversary, but also the story of a whole generation.
To celebrate the 500’s birthday and its timeless story, we created a short movie with Adrien Brody titled “See you in the future”. The protagonist of the story is a man from the sixties that unexpectely finds himself in our time. Here he meets a woman who ends up showing him our world: a world so different from his own, where a man and a woman who share a passion for the Fiat 500 can meet and fall in love.
The integrated campaign went live with a special launch on Italian television, and then in 12 different countries.
