Description
Every year, millions of men take part in Movember, growing their mustaches for prostate cancer research and awareness.
But on December 1st men must return to their normal lives and shave the mustaches they have become so attached to.
Harry’s dubbed this sad day ‘National Shave Day,’ and to give millions of emotional men some guidance during this hard time we created a video to show them that we understood exactly what they were going through.
Finally, a brand acknowledged the true sacrifice of Movember and men learned that if you want to honor your mustache- go to Harry's.com and shave goodbye with a commemorative Harry’s razor.
Execution
This spot is basically a man looking at himself in the mirror. No fancy special effects, no car chases. The lead cast had to not only carry the spot, but also personify how every man sees himself with a mustache. We needed to find someone you fall in love with over time, but who is ultimately a bad influence on your life. We needed a character rather than an actor, so we uncovered this actor, an improv man, deeply imbedded in the underground comedy scene.
