OVERVIEW

Execution

This campaign suggests a visual journey through the history of the tattoo spanning over six decades, starting in 1940 and ending in 2020. The graphic universe of each of the assets is represented by a composition of photographs of real historical objects belonging to each specific decade, giving it a handcrafted character. The result is a visually complex asset replete with innumerable details that invites you to discover and delve even deeper into the tattoo history.

This asset is set in a French prison cell from the 1950s. Characteristic elements found in prisons such as cards, dice or banknotes make up the background. The main element is a reconstructed rudimentary tattoo machine, reconstructed as it was at that time behind bars. Photographic mementos of a stolen freedom conclude this sombre, melancholic and monochromatic asset.
