Description
As the global sites have been occasionally banned by the government, the digital population in Turkey has started to search for other platforms to watch videos. In this context, izlesene.com, which can be described as local YouTube of Turkey with 240 M views per month and 12 M active users, become a suitable partner to reach the audience.
Execution
We branded the skip ad button on pre-roll videos on izlesene.com with our new enabler motto: “Future is Exciting. Are You Ready?”. The audience had to engage with the button in order to skip the ad and access the content.
For 1 month we've fully owned ?zlesene with pre-rolls and tactical branding as well as hacking skip ad button.
It was the first time the skip ad button was branded in Turkey. Vodafone - branded skip ad button was placed to 2.1 million video views, enabling 1.5 million unique users to interact with our new slogan and see our new logo, while reminding people what Vodafone stands for in their lives.
Outcome
We gained 2.1 views in two days and 1.5 million unique users interacted with our new slogan and saw our new logo and motto. Net promoter score increased by 5+ and our campaign keyword was searched 1000% vs previous period as a significant sign of interest in our launch.
