At launch, the Slingshot 360 App was distributed solely to our Slingshot sales force (dealers). From there, it was quickly passed to consumers—resulting in an influx of downloads 20 times the size of our sales force.
Outcome
Within six months of its launch in July 2014, the Slingshot 360 App has found a home on over 8,000 consumers’ mobile devices—all while maintaining a 4 out of 5 customer rating for both iOS and Google Play.
Meaning: The Slingshot experience is resonating with consumers, who are sharing the experience, and wanting to own the Slingshot experience (deposits for purchase have surpassed all forecasts)—despite the fact that, until recently, they couldn’t even see a Slingshot in person (in retail).
The overwhelming response has since spurred an official consumer launch of the app via website and social platforms.
