Description
Our brief was to raise awareness of Absa Bank’s sponsorship of Design Indaba 2011, an annual creative conference held over 3 days in Cape Town.
Execution
We created Absa’s “72 hours of Creativity”, a collaborative effort including everyone at the Design Indaba, over the 3 day event. The inspiration was based on digital art, where data is captured and presented in its digital form. Our aim was to create the biggest digital art piece at a single event, ever. Posters, banners, countdown clocks, n72 hour notebooks and more were designed to help inspire creatives. Screen installations and two 5 metre digital walls showed all the submissions and the progression of the art piece throughout the experience.
Outcome
The Design Indaba became the “72 Hours of Creativity”, with many delegates believingthat to be its theme. In 3 days, Over 7000 videos, messages and pictures weresubmitted, helping to create the art piece and associate Absa Bank as a keen supporterof creativity, in all its forms.
