Since as long ago as the end of the 1970s, Hugo Boss has been a partner to and promoter of sport. All sport sponsoring activities may be reached via the main portal. Teams, individual sportsmen or competitions are supported. These include the McLaren Mercedes F1 Team, Team Penske (IRL), the boat and crew of the HUGO BOSS Farr 65, boxing (the Klitschko Brothers), golf, the Davis Cup and the Kremlin Cup. The clear structure of the website is a winner. Impressive, thrilling pictures combined with facts and concise observations capture the sporting event. The navigation permits access to microsites offering an overview of the latest events, illuminating backgrounds, and, in part, integrating further sites. An example is the sailing site for the Fastnet race where it was possible to follow the position of the boats online during the race. Daily updated entries in the logbook, the skipper's original sound track and live cam images gave the feeling of sailing along with them. Equally unusual is the virtual golf trainer. Young professional, Tino Schuster, uses pictures and video to show beginners the most important strokes and invites them to copy him.
