We wanted to spread the message that Telenet brings soccer matches right into your living room. And we took this quite literally. So we organized ‘Telenet kicks it in’.

Instead of a using billboard, we created a stunt: Jelle Van Damme, Björn Vleminckx and Hernan Losada, three of Belgium’s best players, toured through Flanders with branded ‘Sporting Telenet’ footballs. Wherever a window was accidentally left open, they kicked in a ball. This surprise certainly drew attention, not only from the residents, but also from neighbours and passers-by who recognized the famous players.The action was also filmed, and a TV commercial was made from the footage, delivering the message to people who didn’t see the action live.

Outcome

We made our point clear to the people in Flanders: there’s no better provider for soccer than Telenet. In only 1 week, so many soccer fans switched to Telenet that the waiting time for installation grew to over 2 months.And the cost of €3,785 for damage claims is nothing compared to the priceless moments of soccer lovers having a football kicked in by their favourite player.
