OVERVIEW

Description

“Sports Alphabet” is a music video that introduces Bleacher Report to the world by redefining sports one letter at a time, A to Z.

Execution

The execution is a 2-minute music video, taking viewers from the A to Z of sports with a different animation style for each letter. We timed the video to launch - and be commented on - during the halftime show “Inside The NBA.” Simultaneously, we split the full video into 30-second increments that played over the course of a 4-hour NFL football game. The video has continued to play on TV (Adult Swim, TNT, and truTV) throughout the fall and is still playing today.

Outcome

The video launched on TV during halftime of one of the most watched NBA games of the year. Within a few hours, Billboard had done a writeup on their site. Within a week, YouTube tweeted it out to their over 50 million followers. Within another week, the video had over 2,500,000 views. And to date, it’s racked up over 90,000,000 impressions.
