NAKED COMMUNICATIONS, Sydney / GIDGET FOUNDATION AUSTRALIA / 2018
A woman stands at a kitchen sink looking out the window. She talks to someone about a relationship she is in. She questions whether she loves this person. Cut to the view out the window and you see her husband in the garden, with their baby son. Her husband catches her eye. She continues talking in the kitchen, becoming increasingly emotional as she opens up about the relationship. Cut back to the husband and baby. Eventually we reveal who she is talking with and about which relationship. On the counter is a laptop showing a video call with a psychologist. The psychologist asks a question and the woman breaks down in tears. We hear the psychologist offering supporting words. Fade to black. Supers show powerful statements about perinatal depression, before cutting to an end frame encouraging people to start talking, announcing free video counselling offer from Gidget Foundation Australia.
