Background

With technology advancing every day, it has come as no surprise that the best jobs require a knowledge of basic technical literacy.

But for the 250,000 street children in the Philippines, understanding technology is not considered a fundamental part of learning. Because of this, thousands of them grow up having below average paying jobs - at the most.

How can Child Hope Asia help provide their children with an understanding in technical literacy, so they can pursue more beneficial careers?

Execution

The game uses interlocking blocks to represent how different circuits work. To play, the cubes are linked to an app. The app contains a series of projects, and each project requires a certain set of cubes. The goal is to finish the project by connecting the cubes in the right sequence.

Street Cubes contains over 100 quizzes and games that were created to cover the whole K12 curriculum on electronics. By the time they finish, the children will have confidence in their technical literacy. This could lead them to seek professional careers.
