Description

This video was developed in collaboration with Virginia Valentine*, and is intended to be seen by both HCPs and patients, usually within a HCP clinic setting. The video focusses on the importance of, and the ways in which, the patient’s relationship with their loved one can help to successfully manage type 2 diabetes.

*Virginia Valentine is a clinical nurse specialist who has fellow status with the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). She has received their distinguished service award and is an experienced speaker on diabetes management and education. Virginia has also had type 2 diabetes for 30 years and endorses this video as part of her on-going commitment to diabetes education.

Execution

Created using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, we were focused on creating animation of the utmost simplicity, with few outside effects or plug ins. This manual approach gave more control over the movement/personalities of each icon, to ensure the up-beat, positive nature of the campaign was realised. The charm of this approach is how the animation brings extra impact and punctuates the speaker's key points, ensuring the patients don't miss out on vital advice.
