Description

At the beginning of the year 2001, I-D Media AG launched the new Swatch website, featuring a completely overhauled user navigation which increases the usability and entertainment value of the site tremendously. Local contents complete the site’s offering, and can be updated using a new interface in various languages. In the area World Wide Swatch, users will find news and information relevant to specific countries on products, events and activities. Furthermore, Swatch the store offers a large array of Swatch products online.New products and applications have been developed by I-D Media and Swatch, allowing for a connection between the user’s watch and computer or internet. New watches, such as the “Cyber.Commander”, which exchanges data between watch and PC, create a meeting point between the offline world and online community. The SYDP Area has been designed for emerging talent from the latest sports fields. Athletes can create their own homepages in this area, register for events and present their creative results to Swatch in its role as a possible sponsor.At Swatch, the importance of the internet and a professional website serving its needs will also take on major significance in the future.
