The brief was to create a simple but fun way to package their tan-thru line of bikinis. So the idea of using the bikini strap as a ribbon was not only demonstrative of the product, but also a clever way to secure the packaging. The client loved the idea and several prototypes later, the packaging was put into production. The whole process from conception of the idea to delivery of the first 2000 pieces to the client took more than 8 months.
Outcome
The packaging was well-received by the customers of Buttcheeks, who are mostly fun-loving young women. Together with above-the-line communications, sales of the tan-thru line of bikinis has increased by 16% over a 1-year period.
