Background

This spot celebrates and officially kicks off the 100th season of the National Football League. It was featured during the halftime show of Super Bowl LIII, the largest televised sporting event in the United States. It features the largest collection of current and Hall-of-Fame talent ever assembled in an NFL ad. Over 3 days of shooting, as many as 47 players came together to be a part of the campaign.

It features a special appearance by a young, up-and-coming female American football superstar, 15-year old Samantha Gordon. In 2012, Gordon became a YouTube sensation at the age of 9, after a football highlight video was posted showcasing her football prowess in an all-male league. The video generated nearly 5 million views in 2 days. Since then Gordon has had numerous appearances with NFL, and has become an inspiration to many young girls.

Execution

The NFL holds a gala to celebrate the 100th year since its creation. In the middle of a long speech, Marshawn Lynch can't help but try to get a taste of the giant white cake in the middle of the room. When he reaches out for a piece, he accidentally knocks the golden football off the top of the cake. As soon as the ball hits the ground, it's a free-for-all as football's current stars and all-time greats all compete for the fumble. In the end, the ball is picked up by a young, female football player, Samantha Gordon. She spins and pitches the ball to Saquon Barkley, who speeds off the ball as every player chases after him.
