Description
On 24th December 2016 millions of Poles attented Christmas Masses and sang the ‘Little Baby Jesus’ with an important change to the lyrics. The original carol tells the story of Holy Family looking for shelter. We added lyrics about Syrian war victims and explanation how one can help them.
Execution
We invited 10 000 Polish parishes to sing the carol during the Christmas Mass - the most widely attented Catholic event. We created shared music experience which showed people ways to help Syrians. It was attented by all Polish catholics.
Outcome
We got 20 000 000 singers and listeners. The biggest Christmas choir in Polish history send a clear message of reflection. The new version of ‘Little Baby Jesus’ was so loud and impactful, that it was heard outside churches and mentioned in media 239 times with 466 000 Euros advertising value equivalent. Caritas raised 330 000 Euros for Syrian refugees.
