Pedro announced to his 2 million Facebook fans that he wanted to return, difficult for a singer with no voice. Radio DJ’s immediately started saying they would love to hear Pedro’s music again. During the hype, BBVA declared that if they got 1 million supporters, they would make it happen. How? By getting his fans and other music stars to sing his song. All people had to do was simply sign a petition.
We created a website to for fans to share their version of Pedro’s song ‘When you think of coming back’, driving conversation and sharing via #whenyouthinkofcomingback.
Outcome
1,916,867 details collected in 2 months, making it the most efficient campaign in the bank’s history! Our concert sold out, with 40,000 people attending . Peruvian artists recorded the song and a popular news host sang it live on TV. We made people trust BBVA and became number 1 on the Quality Service Clients Poll 2014. News of our campaign generated over $1.5m in earned media. We won ‘Concert of the Year’ in the Peruvian music ‘Lights Awards’, competing beating Metallica and Paul McCartney. We brought Pedro’s music to life and showed to our clients and new fans we care!
