Topman partners with Google+ to launch The Future Of Shopping offering customers the opportunity to pre-book appointments online and shop via hangout technology from their site. The service was actively promoted via +Post and True View Ads as well as in store flyers, generating fantastic PR, with the service expanding into the US on to inaugurate Topman’s 5th Avenue store in New York.


The only solution possible was to bring the personal shopping experience to people’s homes. We used Google+ Hangouts (online video consultations) to allow people all around the world to book personal shopping sessions with fashion experts from the comfort of their home. People can enjoy a bespoke online shopping experience tailored to their individual needs and even buy the clothing items during the hangout session. Anyone can book the service online across multiple devices including mobile and tablets through a dedicated web-page and can join their Topman 'Style Journal' Google+ community to hear the latest on the service and upcoming trends.


There was a great response from fans and Topman's personal shopping appointments increased by 25%, with great PR headlines being generated. Google+ comments, photos and interaction increased 40% amongst the fashion community. People were exchanging their views on the service on all social platforms, creating lots of buzz around this innovative way to shop. Topman plans to offer this unique Personal Shopping service for their New York shop as a result of the great engagement seen so far in the UK.
