Description
A group of friends, aged 25 to 30, exit a bar in the middle of the night. They are clearly inebriated. And yet, one of them decides to drive back home. His friends try to dissuade him, unsuccessfully.
The young driver quickly loses control of his vehicle, which careens off the road in spectacular fashion.
From the very start of the accident, the scene switches into extreme slow motion. We now enter a more symbolic dimension of the film, in which the young driver's loved ones appear on screen and are dragged, powerless, into the very heart of the accident, following the same arc as the crashing car. Although not present during the accident itself, they also metaphorically become its victims.
A voice-over explains the relationship between each collateral victim and the driver, and describes the dire consequences this tragedy will have on their lives, now and in the future.
