OVERVIEW

Description

We came up with the “Magnet Ad”, as a special print format that literally keeps a “safe” distance. The pages were equipped with very thin yet powerful magnets, so that the pages won’t ever touch and thus allowing the reader to experience the Distance-Pilot DISTRONIC in a haptic way.

Execution

The “Magnet Ad” was printed and delivered only to a small but powerful circle of magazine subscribers, due to a small budget and complexity of the execution. We needed to contact several print productions and had several prototypes built, until we finally found a suitable way of execution: best property of the magnets, thickness of the paper, processing and implementation into the magazine. The publishing in Winter 2016/2017 gave a certain momentum to the idea, which we carried on with the casemovie at the beginning of spring.

Outcome

While we received positive reactions from the subscribed VIP circle, the casemovie of the “Magnet Ad” was featured in numerous online blogs. In terms of effectively reaching target audiences relevant to image shaping, but with a small budget on the production side, the “Magnet Ad” was a full success.
