To transform each match into tangible data visualization pieces. Tennis racquets as canvas and their strings representing the plays.

We mapped out Guga Kuerten´s best matches to recreate them using strings on a tennis racquet. The original strings of the racquets were replaced and mounted in different directions and colors to demonstrate each play.

Coloured strings: player/direction of the play. Black dots: where the ball landed. White strings: the boundaries of the tennis court.

The racquets were created and auctioned off at charity fundraisers. All the money raised is then donated to the Guga Kuerten Institute, which promotes sports for the development of underprivileged children.
