OVERVIEW

Background

The Development Bank of the Philippines or DBP is the only bank of its kind in the country, a government bank that funds the biggest development projects, including giving power to households nationwide. They wanted to come out with an annual report that won’t be relegated to the office bookshelves, as is the current norm.

Description

As a bank that pioneered over 165 megawatts of energy projects, the Development Bank of the Philippines gave out an annual report that its recipients can actually use -- The Power Bank Book. Each copy stores energy and is able to instantly charge mobile devices. Given to the many stakeholders and investors who supported their energy projects, DBP was able to promote renewable energy and strengthen partnerships for future energy projects, a true power bank of its own.

Execution

Veering away from the usual annual report, we partnered with engineers to integrate a charging mechanism into the book which allows any mobile device to connect via USB port. The Power Bank Book took 4 months to produce, and copies were distributed to 1,000 stakeholders.
