A cross-channel content strategy featuring Jono and Ben and a series of remarkable challenges was devised. Kiwi beer drinkers learnt how amazing the Heineken experience could be as they were put through the ultimate ‘mate-ship’ test including;
• A Faux bar/TV talk show where competitors performed to a live audience – broadcast within the Jono & Ben TV show.
• Live Radio broadcast featuring unique penalty shootout inside a Heineken bar.
• Finally Jono & Ben’s TV & radio shows accompanied the winners to Portugal, recording live radio shows, and video content subsequently amplified across their TV, social and YouTube channels.
Outcome
Through the engagement of local talent and creation and amplification of entertaining content we made Heineken and the UEFA Champion’s League promotion enticing to rugby mad kiwi men.
But did the local content partnership and amplification strategy deliver the sales and brand uplift results demanded? Absolutely!
