The kit was delivered via the sales force in a designer, surgical instrument case. Inside was a premium brochure. Upon opening new surgeons were invited to download the app.
After downloading, a surgeon could use the triggers throughout the brochure to view a range of AR experiences.
These experiences included implants and specialized surgical equipment allowing the surgeons to see how each device looks, moves and functions.
The kit allows young surgeons access to a greater depth of Stryker products 24/7, it also provided the company a new, engaging communication channel delivered right into a surgeon's most prized asset…their hand.
Outcome
The Stryker Viewer Kit was released to the sales force mid January 2015.
Surgeon engagement is already high with downloads reaching a peak rating of #52 for iPhones in late January
and #24 for iPads in early February from over 29,000 medical apps available to the Australian market.
