Description
We created the United Flags, a beautiful blend of flags, each combining two totally different nationalities. The first flags that don’t divide but unite. A simple yet symbolic idea to make a uniting statement in a divided world. And we launched them in the world’s most diverse country: Tomorrowland.
Execution
We started with the 37 different nationalities of the passenger lists of Tomorrowland’s worldwide party flights and combined those with other nationalities attending the festival. Then we stitched and matched to create more than 700 different United Flags. Each passenger flying in received a unique United Flag with a mission to find their matching nationality, turning the United Flags into a guerrilla outdoor campaign on a festival with heavy brand restrictions.
Outcome
We created more than 700 unique United Flags and handed them out to every single passenger on all worldwide Brussels Airlines party flights to Tomorrowland. Turning the United Flags into a real life guerilla outdoor campaign on a festival where no brands are allowed. Leading to a strong brand visibility among the 400.000 visitors and 200 nationalities attending.
