Description
Steve Nash is universally recognized as one of the hardest working players in basketball. Known for his dedication to training, amazing footwork and superhuman court vision he has led his Phoenix Suns to the top of the NBA and earned himself the 2005 and 2006 MVP awards.
Training Day, an 81-second short film directed by Cooper Hewett student Lola Schnabel, chronicles a day in the life of Nash, as he skateboards his way through New York City, playing soccer and tennis during his usual cross-training regimen. Nash worked closely with Nike and his own production company, Meathawk Productions, to write, pitch, produce and fund the $30,000 independent project. And though the film doesn't promote a product it closely links Nash and Nike to the idea of passion, dedication and great athleticism.
