Description

Most Volkswagen models are equipped with a variety of assist systems.

We illustrated this in a fun and unexpected manner, that delivers message and entertains the viewer - making this film something to share amongst the target market and online community.

Execution

Overview

‘Treeguy’ was potentially a very funny film. However finding the right people wasn’t easy on such a small budget. With no dialogue it was important that the actors had a good sense of comic timing and could add to the film through their actions and expressions.

When you’re wearing a tree outfit and holding a pair of cymbals you probably shouldn’t overact the part. We needed someone who was deadpan and subtle, enhancing the visual humor in the process. We felt we got exactly the actor and the performance we needed.

Again when you are being faced by an extraordinary looking character such as Treeguy there’s probably more humor in downplaying the part. The actor we found was able to produce those subtle looks and facial expressions that add so much to a script. His reaction when avoiding the cymbals is great in its timing and absurdity.

Even the guy eating an ice cream added a lovely touch to the film.

Conclusion

Overall we feel the cast of ‘Treeguy’ demonstrate perfectly the combination of chemistry, comic timing and subtlety we were looking for and the result is a film we are proud of.
