Trident Layers isn’t an ordinary piece of gum. It’s a delicious strip of candy nestled between two meaty strips of differently flavoured gum So when you put that beautiful looking (and tasting) piece of gum in your mouth and start chewing, you won’t just like it a little bit, you’ll like it a lot. In fact, you might even go so far as saying you LOVE it.
To launch a new campaign for Trident Layers and introduce the Chew Love tagline, we follow a guy who really does love Trident Layers. Joe, our hero, loves the 2 flavours and 3 layers unique to Trident Layers so much that he actually marries it. Seriously - at a beach wedding, in front of his friends, family and a co-worker.Immediately following the wedding, we see a montage of tender moments shared between our newlyweds over the cheesy, 80’s rock ballad, More Than Words Can Say, by Alias. And judging by Joe’s actions and emotions in some of the scenes, he’s not just going through a bout of Puppy Love with his piece of Trident Layers. He’s experiencing the real thing. He’s experiencing Chew Love.
