Nowadays, technology, with chatbot and virtual assistants such as Siri, Alexa, Cortana, seems to have the answer to everything. But are we absolutely sure that technology has the answer to everything? When kids face big problems alone, is technology really able to help them? The answer is that only true listening can be the answer to their problems and Telefono Azzurro’s model is based on the active listening on behalf of psychologists who answer the phone, listen and help kids victims of violence.

Telefono Azzurro's National Listening Center has approximately a hundred volunteers and a call center service with specialized counselors and telephone lines.
A little girl, victim of violence by her father, is alone in her bedroom. She is trying to find an answer through a smartphone’s artificial intelligence
“What can I do to stop making him angry?”, “Why is my daddy bad?” ,”Why does he make me cry?”
She asks to the virtual assistant. Questions which that kind of technology obviously cannot understand. All of a sudden we hear the sound of her father's footsteps, the door opens and we see the light of the corridor illuminate the scared face of the little girl.

The Telefono Azzurro logo appears, an Italian help line for kids who are victims of domestic violence.
