Background
People trust doctors with their health, dentists with their teeth, and lawyers with their freedom, but when it comes to their hard-earned money, they don’t always trust experts with their taxes. In an attempt to save money, many Canadians choose to have their taxes done by untrained
preparers. This most often results in filing mistakes and money left on the table.
Our challenge was to drive people away from this unwise behaviour and steer
them towards the actual experts at H&R Block. The campaign, “Trust the Experts”, sowed doubt in consumers’ minds, by showing the pitfalls of not using a proper tax expert. The objective of this new campaign was to drive business results at H&R Block, by showing what could happen if you choose not to seek the help of the experts.
Execution
In this commercial, we find ourselves thrusted into immediate awkwardness after dad finds scandalous receipts his son-in-law must account for.
