OVERVIEW

Background

As part of the #ILOVEYOUHATER campaign, which encourages teenagers to stay fresh in the face of haters, we partnered with relevant artists and influencers who suffered the most from online bullying.

To show that instead of replying aggressively, and generating more hate, you can stop the aggression by keeping cool and answering smartly.

Idea

We contacted 20 different famous musicians and influencers from around the world who suffered from online bullying and encouraged them to create a song based on real, hurtful comments posted by their haters.

Strategy

For the first time, we used influencers and musicians in a whole new way.

We encouraged them to stay fresh when facing haters’ comments, and to compose songs based on those aggressions. Showing teenagers that by keeping cool and having fun, you can neutralize haters.

Then we used their popularity to spread the message across different media platforms.

Execution

We partnered with local and international musicians and influencers who suffered from online bullying to create songs based on real, hurtful comments posted by their haters.

Some artists: Elise Ecklund, Tini Stoessel, Agapornis, Rombia, Replik, Jenny Martinez, Miscellaneous, Valen Madanes, Mai Pistiner, Alan Lezcano, Fede Gomez, Lucas Lezin.

Outcome

The campaign got 80% positive sentiment, +65MM VIEWS, +24HS USER GENERATED CONTENT, +700MM IMPRESSIONS, #1 TRENDING TOPIC, +2000 articles worldwide.

+363% earn media. +24% sales from January to March.
