Description
We needed to create a low-budget gift that was beautiful, functional, fun and analog. Something that the receiver would appreciate, and actually interact with. We also wanted to tap into an insight that related to the family and the holidays, while also reflecting the greater, modern human experience. But in a simple, fun way!
Execution
After an exhaustive, graphic exploration of what it means to have fun, let go of stress, and enjoy time with loved ones, we landed on a simple but evocative expression of “play”. Something as joyful and unplugged as the idea itself. There was also a lot of trial and error with packaging design – we attempted many different solutions before getting the engineering just right.
Outcome
Clients were wowed. Dozens reached out to let us know how impressed and charmed they were. And we’re confident that those who did receive it ended up unplugging and playing, over the holiday season and beyond.
