Description
In 2016, Volkswagen presented the new showcar i.D. in Paris— and we enabled visitors to experience the car fully virtually. In an immersive installation, users can explore the showcar exterior, learn about its features and functionality in an interactive way, and even virtually test-drive the car with its autonomous drive logic.
Execution
VR Technology at its best
Immersion is key for us. We used a customized VR VIVE set to allow visitors to dive into our VR scene. Sensors track hands and gestures and enable users to navigate and control interactions far more naturally than regular controller devices do. Our VR experience runs on strong workstation power, based on the UNREAL game engine, with full use of NVIDIA 1080 performance.
Outcome
8500 direct contacts with an avarrage experience of 6 Minutes in just two weeks.
