Background

Betterplace is Germany's largest digital donation platform with over 30,000 projects. On the website, you can donate to a wide variety of NGOs.

With our campaign for betterplace.org, we want to make donating as easy and desirable as possible. And at the same time, give people the opportunity to encourage others to donate as well.

The pro-bono campaign ran for about 6 weeks and was placed in various channels like YouTube videos, social media, banner, OOH, influencer and Guerilla sticker.

Idea

By letting them choose what they want to support, giving them an ambassador, they can trust. Like themselves.

And all this from a single piece of clothing. Donating has never been more fashionable. An asset that combines all the requirements for a successful donation campaign: a strong message, a convincing ambassador, good design and a donation option that is as simple as possible.

Execution

To make the QR Code work, simplicity and boldness were the main key facts when developing the design for the shirts and sweaters. The Benzin Typeface with its extended style transports the modern aesthetics of the present time in design. In addition, eye-catching trendy signal colors support the fashion aspect and provide a clear message. No Chi-Chi that distracts from the clear goal. The simple stylish sweater and shirt were the best medium to create contrast and bring the design to live. The oversized QR-Code on the back with the CTA “Scan me for something good” drives interaction and curiosity. Nevertheless, they should feel comfortable and wear something they are committed to. By choosing the theme and color, it remains individual. But in the end, the one thing that counts: Wear what's in your heart.

Outcome

• More than 1,000 items of clothing sold in the first few days

• 9,747,983 impressions

• 19,154 clicks across all advertising material
