Background

White Claw offers a new generation of conscious drinkers who wanted to enjoy alcohol without the drawbacks of traditional alternatives. While the world has never been a more pessimistic place Gen Z were finding real solutions to challenges and taking action.

We wanted to show that White Claw was the drink for those who shared this attitude of optimism whatever the challenge.

The creative solution reflects the active lifestyle and spirit of optimism that embodies White Claw drinkers. The journey to the sea and seeing an opportunity where others see only challenges spoke to the belief of our audience in the power of optimism. The track Morning Sun by Melody Gardot contrasts with the chaos around the surfer to show the belief that the sun follows every storm.

Execution

White Claw storm brings the spirit of optimism to life through the story of a surfer. Where the crowd on the beach see a storm as a disaster and run away, the surfer sees an opportunity to surf the perfect wave.

The black and white world that highlights the drama and the noise around the surfer in slow motion as he serenely passes through the crowd into the sea.This demonstrates the spirit of optimism and the belief that the sun follows every storm.

The call to arms to “Bring the Wave” at the end is a rallying cry to bring the spirit of optimism and see a better way where no one else can.
