Overview

Description

Windhoek Lager, in contrast to most of its competitors, is brewed according to an old German tradition known as the Rheinheitsgebot. This ensures that it contains only natural ingredients: it is 100% real beer. This was an awareness job for a brand that’s always kept it real (despite pressure from its competitors), but has faded into obscurity relative to its competitors in the market.

Execution

The idyllic place to brew beer is quaint, lush-green and somewhere in the land of Constable, Keats and Enid Blyton. Windhoek Lager is brewed in Namibia – on the threshold of hell – right next to the world’s oldest desert. You’ve got to be a little crazy to brew beer there – and seriously obsessive if you want to do it perfectly. Back In 1920 two young Germans decided to brew real German beer in the last remote wilderness in Africa. And did it. So, there – Windhoek Lager has a lot more to it than UK lager.

Outcome

It has gone viral.
