Our role in #wombstories was bringing the picture alive as well as stitch together, through sound, the diversity of shots. The use of animation and live-action gave us the opportunity to incorporate many types of sound design, mixing, use of music, and shoot audio. The film is purposefully disruptive and layered in tone and we developed the tone to the range of emotion shown. Animation requires the sound design to be built entirely from scratch.Our creative solution to balance the storytelling and emotion in the ad was to work through each style of animation, character, and scene to bring it to life. To reinforce the humor and depth of feeling or pain in audio whilst also letting the picture breathe in the right moments.
