Execution

The national lockdown triggered the worst rise in domestic abuse ever recorded. And with desperately few excuses to get out and away from home, women in abusive relationships are forced to make the most of any opportunity for a little respite. This film is an intimate telling of one woman’s experience; how a seemingly mundane shopping trip becomes a brief haven for her and her child – but the respite is short-lived. On the strength of the film alone, we were donated £250,000 worth of free airtime, reaching 45% of UK adults (or 22.8 million people).
