This event was broadcasted by all main Belgian television channels and newspapers.The event got a lot of buzz and all politicians were aware of the problem. This exceeded all expectations. In the pre-voting sessions, the majority voted for the 6% VAT for sanitary products. The law will probably be voted somewhere soon, in favour of Zijkant's proposal.
