To communicate that Yahoo Search is fast we sent out a group of attractive, and fast girls to some of the hippest pubs in Bangalore city.
The girls flirted with and hit on single, unsuspecting young males in the pub.
In under 15 minutes (with the promise of a ‘naughty’ rendezvous in some quiet, cozy place) the girls would lead the poor male outside. She’d take him to her car, from which she'd pull out and gift the guy a t-shirt that said – I’M FAST, BUT NOT AS FAST AS YAHOO INDIA SEARCH. A cheering camera crew would appear just as the gag is revealed. The entire episodes were recorded on hidden mikes and cameras. These were posted on Facebook, Yahoo videos and on Youtube.
Outcome
The ‘Fast girls’ activity generated a lot of word of mouth for the brand among the TA. Pubs in Bangalore city were abuzz with talk of the ‘fast girls’ and Yahoo India Search. The videos were a huge hit on Facebook and on Yahoo videos. Hits on Yahoo India Search page witnessed a sharp spike during and immediately after the 2 weeks that the activity was staged.
