Description

The FujiFilm HS50EXR is a digital camera that shoots 16 images per second. Making it the perfect photo camera to capture high-speed action shots. To draw the attention of young urban sports fans to the 16-images-per-second-feature of the HS50EXR we turned YouTube’s preview function into a HS50EXR showcase function. The HS50EXR became the tool to skip through every frame of urban sport videos. Demonstrating that the HS50EXR really captures everything – including the perfect photo of your perfect skateboard stunt. This led to a click rate of 15,2%. For the first time YouTube’s preview function became a unique brand experience.

Execution

The audience spends a lot of time watching sport videos on YouTube. What if we could let them experience the HS50EXR while they are watching their favorite sports videos?

Everybody knows YouTube’s video preview function. We turned the preview function into a HS50EXR showcase function. The HS50EXR became the tool to skip through every frame of the video. Making it easy to understand that the HS50EXR really captures everthing – including the perfect photo of your perfect skateboard stunt.

Outcome

With a click rate of 15,2% all expectations were surpassed. And simoultanously we created a totally new advertising format. For the first time ever the Youtube preview function became a unique brand experience.
