Background
ZOJIRUSHI CORPORATION, the leading rice cooker manufacturer in Japan, faced a challenge while developing their rice cookers. They needed to find a solution for the surplus rice produced during the testing process, known as "test rice," which was used to assess cooking conditions and taste. At the time, this surplus rice was being downcycled as a component.
Idea
The goal was to never compromise on the taste of beer.
In this statement, bringing "ITTEKI = a drop of beer" before "HITOTSUBU = a grain of rice" is a manifestation of that determination.

The beer had to be exceptionally delicious to truly live up to the ""upcycle"" label and to make you feel "Hare"(means special days and places used for celebratory events)"
"MISSION 2:
The beer had to pair well with rice, given Zojirushi's expertise and passion for rice.
After numerous taste discussions and advancing through multiple rounds of recipe development, we have finally completed a beer named "Hare to Ho" with the invigorating aroma of fresh grapes and a crisp, refreshing taste.
The packaging of bottle features a soft and impressionable design motif inspired by "ITTEKI = a drop of beer" and "HITOTSUBU = a grain of rice".
Finally, launched on June 20, 2023!
