In this film, a bereaved “monkey bear” visits the grave of a departed friend and is moved to remove half his heart and plant it in his friend’s skeleton. Miraculously, the departed friend rises from the grave and they share one last dance.For starters, it’s a noir friendship story. And it’s combined with an 80s neon-punk videogame aesthetic. And it features two abstract teddy bearish creatures (one of whom is dead). Not to mention digital strobing for a cult dance routine. If you want to assign it a genre, you’re going to have to make one up.
