BriefExplanation
In a galaxy not so far from here, a group of aliens tour the Museum of Earthly Wonders to see all the unique stuff our planet has to offer.
EntrySummary
Everything in the museum had cultural relevance that added to the humor:
Rubik’s cube: A popular puzzle game that often goes unsolved because people tire of it before they can figure it out.
Airplane seats: Increasingly cramped everywhere, but especially on American carriers.
Emojis: Used around the world as an increasingly common for of communication.
Chia Pets: Terracotta figurines that grow the sprouts to resemble the animal's fur and are often used as gag gifts.
The Dress: This dress became an internet sensation from the previous year, when someone posted a photo in which it looked either blue and black or white and gold, depending on how your eyes worked.
Scott Baio: An actor considered a heartthrob in the 1980s but who has struggled to remain relevant.

WE OPEN ON AN INTERPLANETARY MUSEUM, WHERE AN ORANGE ALIEN TOUR GUIDE IS LEADING A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER ALIENS THROUGH AN EXHIBIT ABOUT EARTH. THE ALIENS ARE OF ALL SHAPES, SIZES AND TENTACLES.
GUIDE: Behold, the bounty of Earth.
THE GUIDE POINTS ENTHUSIASTICALLY TO EARTHLY THINGS THAT ALIENS WOULD FIND AMAZING, ALL IN GLASS DISPLAY CASES. IN THE BACKGROUND, WE SEE LOTS OF THINGS THAT AREN’T REFERENCED BY THE ALIENS, BUT OFFER “EASTER EGGS” FOR CAREFUL VIEWERS. HE POINTS TO A RUBIK’S CUBE.
GUIDE: This is the Cube of Rubik. This simple puzzle was actually considered unsolvable by the humans.
THE ALIENS SNICKER.
BOY: Did they not have brains?
GUIDE: Um…simple ones.
THE GUIDE CONTINUES ON HIS WAY, POINTING TO AN AIRPLANE SEAT.
GUIDE: Now this was apparently a 21st-century torture device.
SHELLHEAD: How long you think they keep them strapped in there?
GUIDE: Sometimes hours at a time. Pretty gruesome.
ONE OF THE ALIENS IS SICKENED AT THE THOUGHT. THE ALIEN TOUR GUIDE KEEPS GOING, GESTURING TO A DISPLAY OF EMOJIS.
GUIDE: And over here we have their alphabet. It was called “emoji.” A few symbols could express the vast extent of their emotion.
HE CONTINUES THE TOUR.
GUIDE: They had chia pets, just like we do.
HE POINTS TO THE INFAMOUS BLUE OR GOLD DRESS THAT DROVE THE INTERNET CRAZY.
GUIDE: And this is the white and gold dress that caused a civil war.
HE BREEZES PAST ACTOR SCOTT BAIO.
GUIDE: This is Scott Baio. But most amazing, are the Avocados from Mexico.
THE GUIDE REVEALS AN AVOCADO TREE AT THE CENTER OF THE EXHIBIT, BENEATH A SPOTLIGHT THAT GIVES IT AN ANGELIC GLOW.
GUIDE: They’re always in season, you can enjoy them all year long! Anyone want to feed Scott Baio? It’s included in the price of admission. No?
AN ALIEN DOUBLE DIPS AND IS IMMEDIATELY INCINERATED BY THE LASER EYES OF THE CREATURE NEXT TO HIM. THE LASER-EYED ALIEN SHRUGS SHEEPISHLY.
LASER EYES: I mean, he double dipped… It’s okay. He’ll regenerate.
GUIDE: No, he won’t. He was a Quadmogurt.
MUSIC: AVOCADOS FROM MEXICO JINGLE
SUPER: Avocados From Mexico [LOGO]
