TBWA\G1, Paris / NISSAN / 2017

EntrySummary
This work features the marks left on parking garage walls from cars that have parked without Nissan’s Around View Monitor technology.
What appears to be brushwork on a canvas isn’t, because Parking Is Not An Art.
We have created three double page print ads that live across a magazine for a reader to encounter.
The first double page spread is a triptych of abstract lines and marks. It’s untitled but accompanied by a description of the materials, dimensions, and reads “Courtesy of Nissan.”
Later, while leafing through a magazine, the reader encounters the second painting, a yellow abstract work of art with striking lines and detail.
As the reader reaches the third and final painting they quickly understand what they’ve been looking at. The paintings are in fact walls and a column marked by parking cars, and they realize that Parking Is Not An Art.
